Happy {Halloween} Monday

Halloween has never been my favorite holiday but this year was such a blast. I am a huge procrastinator when it comes to costumes, simply because I don't understand why I should spend so much money on something I will wear once. Saturday, 6 p.m. was approaching and still no idea what the hubs and I should wear...of course there were some ideas being thrown around but not one that really stuck. I rummaged through our clothes and finally came up with 1940's gangstas. That's right.

My husband was definitely sceptical of the idea but he loved the idea once we were completely dressed from head to toe...and spending no money was the cherry on top! At both Halloween parties that we went to not one person could believe that the clothes were from our wardrobe!

How was your Halloween?!

Weekend View

Crisp autumn weather has arrived. You think I would be outside. Instead working on DylanDrake and Drake Men has kept me inside...of Starbucks that is!

Fabulous Fall aaccessories

Snuggling up with a warm blanket

An afternoon coffee shop date with my husband...or mom :)

Fur coats!

Family gatherings in the coziest places

And being able to drink hot coffee anytime I want

Is Fall your favorite time of the year? If  so, Why?

The look and feel of lace. Lace is everywhere this Fall season and I am so excited to start wearing it! The cold front is supposed to come through Houston later tonight and starting tomorrow I will be wearing tights, lace dresses, and my jackets! Here are a few photos of lace that I am loving.

Masculine Style

Besides the fact that I am currently in the process of launching a men's online retail shop, I have always been intrigued by masculine style. Now of course, I still love being a girl and wearing a fur coat from time to time but there is something about the deep, rich colors that draw me in. I found that the inspirational photos that I had saved during the process of redoing our home were all from men's homes! Since I am so drawn this style right now I thought that I would share some of my photos with you.

Are you feeling the flow? I am all over this trend of flow, loose fitting, girly dresses. Pair it with a great jacket, ankle booties, and a cute clutch and you are on your way. I am usually one that is all for dresses hugging my curves but dresses like these have a very soft, seductive way about them. Maybe it's the way they move with your body or the way they leave everyone else wanting to know more. Which ever one it is I am all for it! Since Houston doesn't really change into "Winter" for about another month and a half I have quit some time to wear this trend...and I am so excited.

A Life of Style By: Rebecca Moses

How do you live your life of style? That is the main question that runs through my head when I am reading this book. I often return to the book when I feel that I need to be inspired or remember why I love the things that I do. She makes you think about how you live your life, how you dress, and why do you dress the way that you do. From reading the book several times I always come out of it with a new perception of myself...how I live, how I dress, how I treat people, to how I want to run my business. Rebecca Moses links your clothes, hair, makeup, home, and personality to style. That everything we do, think, and feel are all connected to the life of style that we live.

"Style is not skin deep. It is soul deep.
It is our most significant form of expression.
It is how we communicate who we
Are to the world around us.
It is out voice."
