Looking forward to the Weekend...

This week has gone on way too long. It has been hectic, stressful, frustrating, mixed in with some exciting news for my husband and the first purchase of my own Canon SLR T2i camera. This weekend is much needed. Sitting in an hour and a half traffic yesterday trying to get home got me thinking about somethings that I am really looking forward to this weekend...

Finally being able to wear a scarf

Continuing our closet renovation with our inspirational photos by our side

Having good conversation with friends over wine and candle light

Rounding out the weekend with Church, the usual brunch, and my husband messing around with the camera while I have a "fashion show" with my fall wardrobe. It's going to be a great weekend!

What are you up to this weekend?!

Currently Loving...

Fabulous Men and Women Fall Ensembles! These photos are dreamy and get me excited about hopefully being able to wrap a scarf around my neck by the end of this week. Houston weather is supposed to be in the low 80's during the day and in the low 60's for the morning!

Until then I will have these photos to dream about when that day will come...

Feeling Greige...

The husband and I have been in remodel mode for our house for quite sometime. Debating about living room wall color is almost like having another full time job. I am constantly online looking for inspirational photos and these few photos have me sold on the Greige look. It looks contemporary with a warm feeling and still versatile.

I am in need of that light fixture!

Perfect...the hubs and I love black and white with pops of color.

Simple. Vintage. Love.

Effortless.

Now that's an entryway.

Love the lamp.

Fall Sunday Brunch Outfit...Finally!

So in between a crazy 8-5 work schedule and then add in meetings for Drake Men, our business that we are trying to launch, plus being a wife and all of the joys/duties that come with that, and then trying SO hard to keep up with DylanDrake blog and Tumblr page equals not enough hours in the day!

But here it is my 3rd outfit! My husband and I do Sunday brunch every week and so this was an outfit that I wanted to do so badly. I was going to post it on Wednesday but I just didn't have the time to complete and post it. I guess God works in mysterious ways because this is actually fitting for today...Sunday!

I hope you enjoy!

Outfit 3 Coming Soon!

I am sitting at Starbucks on my lunch break like I do everyday and my computer has no power left. It shut down just before I was about to post my 3rd outfit!

Check back later this afternoon to see my Sunday Brunch inspired ensemble!

P.S. I think it may be time for me to purchase an ipad instead of relying on my 4 year old HP that clearly looses battery life in 20 min!

Work Chic

I have always tried to dress for myself and not my job. I am in the accounting field and there have been plenty of people that I have come across that seem like they could care less about what they put on in the morning. Accounting is not the most fashion forward career, okay it's far from it, but I have always tried to stay true to my own style. My new job has a business casual attire, which to them means jeans, flip flops, and a casual top, to me this Polyvore that I have created is business casual. The causal sweater and chunky jewelry is what brings in the casual while everything else holds down the 'business' part. The greatest part of this outfit is that its only $87! I will definitely be making trips to all these stores for this outfit.

Fall Inspirtaion...Outfits under $100

This morning I woke up to a pleasant suprise...a cold front. The cool crisp breeze got me thinking about the upcoming fall season and outfits that I will be wearing. So I thought I would do an outfit each day this week that is under $100 to pay tribute to the cold front that has finally reached Houston!

I will start off this week with this very casually chic ensemble that has me so excited...especially the leopard bag! This is actually $106.99...I know its over by $7 but I just loved everything about this outfit I had to splurge!

The hubs and I have a wedding to go to in early October and I have been debating about which style I should go with. I have outfits like this similar in my closet but I just can't decide. I love the always fashionable 1950's look but the blue dress with the vintage orange clutch just screams "chic style"!

What to do?!

Black Doors

So the hubs and I have been talking about painting all of our interior doors black. We have a small one bedroom high rise condo that is very modern. We want to spruce up the place with some cosmetic upgrades. We have all cream walls with white trim...I think this will give the place a little "something something"!

Here are a few photos that I find inspiring and ever time I look at them they make me want to run out to buy paint! The one thing I am struggling with is to have them shiny or a matte black. So what do we think?

Where is my Fall?

One of my good friends, who lives in New York City, posted on her Facebook last night that "fall is here guys". I must say that I am jealous-oh so jealous! This morning on one of the local Houston networks they weather man was excited because we were going to have cooler weather. Um yeah, the high is 90 today! I am so ready for cooler weather asap. I dream about the morning when I can wake up and finally put my winter boots on over my jeans and walk to our favorite breakfast restaurant.

I do live in Houston and this will probably not happen for at least another month I guess that I will just sit and day dream about that day happening!

Rachel Zoe Spring 2012 RTW Collection

Tuesday was the season premiere of the Rachel Zoe Project and since then I have been obsessing over her clothing line. Seeing as how I have been sick for the last four days all I have been really doing is looking at the fall fashion shows. I came across her new Spring/Summer 2012 line and I must say she did not disappoint! Between her bohemian dresses and her classic suits she really knows how to take classic pieces and make them into something so beautiful and effortless to wear.

Here are just a few pieces from the collection!
