Lately I have been drawn to denim button down shirts. I seem to be able to pair mine with anything. In the last few weeks I have put it over a dress, skirt, pants, leggings, and shorts. At times leaving it unbuttoned, rolling up my sleeves, sometimes tying a not to show my colorful tank underneath (yes I am channeling Britney Spears circa 2000!), and then others I have been doing the 'sloppy' half tucked in look.
No matter how I seem to wear them it always seems to work. I know that it has become a classic staple to most outfits but in Houston summer's here are SO hot that I tend to wear the same outfits over and over again. I have been reading a book about how French women live and the one statement that has been made in almost every chapter is to try to wear to same outfit in multiple ways. French women, in this book, laugh at us American women for saying "I don't have anything to wear!" because truth be told we probably have more in our closets than them!
In the last few months I have been trying to stick to that motto. It has worked for the most part. I am pulling tops and shorts out of the wood work that had found a new home in the back of a drawer! The last few days I feel like I am discovering a whole new wardrobe...even though it has been there all along. Ha! I don't know how you lovely readers feel about this style but I personally am loving it!
